Bookish Items On My Radar – Top Ten Tuesday #36

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl at the start of this year. This week’s prompt was ‘Bookish Items/Merchandise I’d Like to Own’. This, I imagine was a pretty easy list this week for most bookworms, all I really needed to do was jaunt on over to my local Amazon Wishlist page and see what I most wanted to drop hints about to my friends and family this close to Christmas.

I do not have affiliate links but I have included links to where you can purchase these goodies!

10. The Book Was Better T-Shirt

The Book Was Better T-Shirt
£7.95 – Perky Fashion @ Amazon

T-Shirt really speaks for itself, doesn’t it? I also like this green.

9. S.P.E.W. Badge

S.P.E.W. Badge
£7.95 – ShakespearesWorkShop @ Etsy

About half of you are thinking “Oh my God, I completely forgot about The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare!”, unless of course, you reread the books recently and then maybe you didn’t. But yeah, I totally want to own this badge.

8. Camp Half Blood Necklace

£12.71 – AngeTheArtist @ Etsy

This handmade version of the Camp Half-Blood bead necklace from the Percy Jackson books is just so cool. It will go super well with my Camp Half-Blood T-Shirt and NYC Cap.

7. Shadowhunters Tarot Cards

Shadowhunters Tarot Cards

I have wanted these Tarot Cards for so long – so much so that when I bought them as a Christmas gift for my best friend a few years ago I very nearly, very muchly wanted, to keep them for myself (I didn’t, in the end).

6. Matilda Mug

Matilda Mug
£10.00 – Creative Tops @ Amazon

It’s china, it’s footed, it’s bookish – it’s my kind of mug. This Matilda inspired mug complete with Quentin Blake illustrations is just so pretty – I must find space for it with the rest of my mugs – I must!

5. Hobbit Feet Slippers

Hobbit Feet Slippers
£8.99 – Geekbuzz @ Amazon

I love slippers and I just adored these Lord of the Rings inspired, cosy looking Hobbit Feet Slippers. They look so cosy and I can be ready for an adventure any time I put them on.

4. Anastasia Together In Paris Necklace

Anastasia Together In Paris Necklace
£24.53  – LAcchiappasogni @ Etsy

Not exactly bookish but Anastasia is possibly my favourite ever animated movie and this replica of her necklace is just to die for  I mean, look at the detail!

3. 100 Books Scratch Off Poster

100 Books Scratch Off Poster
£11.51 – Uncommon Goods

This is the ultimate Bibliophile Bucket List, you scratch off the foil when you’ve read the title to reveal the awesome little cover. How cool is that? And on top of that it’s also made in the UK, so I get to support some local businesses.

2. Starry Night Book Buddy

Starry Night Book Buddy

I have needed/wanted a book sleeve for so long and this one looks so well-made. Also, it glows in the dark. Think about it – night-time, can’t sleep, fumbling around for light switch whilst looking for your book but – oh wait, what’s that glowing there? Your book!

1. Careful Of Books Quote Scarf

Careful of Books Scarf
£19.08 – Topatco

I adore this scarf designed with an awesome quote from one of my favourites series – the same series with the quote that inspired the name of this blog, in fact:

“One must always be careful of books, and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

Ahhhhhhh, the feels.

What bookish items do you want most, drop the links in the comments – I’m always looking for more things to not be able to afford! Don’t forget to post your Top Ten Tuesday links in the comments, too!

Until next time!

  1. Oh my gosh, the Anastasia necklace! I haven’t read the Percy Jackson series (I’ll get around to it, I swear!), but that necklace looks so cool! The accessory I can’t afford, but desperately want is Serah’s necklace from Final Fantasy 13. Maybe one day. *sigh*

  2. The SPEW badge is hilarious. I always thought it was funny how Hermione’s cause was left out of the movies even though it was such a huge part of the books. But, I do admit, it wasn’t the MOST interesting plotline in the HP series. 😀 Still, it’s good to see someone acknowledge SPEW. 😀
