Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl at the start of this year. This week’s prompt was ‘Favorite Book Blogs/Bookish Websites’ which BTW, really not a fun one.
I follow a lot of book blogs and I like them all, so it wasn’t at all fun to put this list together because I wanted a mix of different kinds of sites but I felt like I wasn’t able to include all the blogs I wanted to so I’m sorry if your blog isn’t on this list, I’ve picked based on sites I get the most recommendations off/have the most overlapping areas of reading interests – just know if I follow your blog it’s because I think it’s awesome. For all these reasons, my list this week is not ranked.
This is my favourite used bookstore, with awesomely cheap prices and a great range available I always get a great deal!
Amy @ The Little Booknerds in the Corner was one of the first WordPress blogs I followed because after reading her ‘About me’ page I realised we have loads of common interests (like it’s weird how much) including loving Reign which is literally one of my favourite shows ever but no one I know has watched it. This I took to mean we had similar taste and so I trust pretty much every book recommendation she puts up on her blog.
I wrote a post not too long ago about the reasons I like Edelweiss, a great book platform I use mainly to source Review Copies of books and post my reviews on them.
This is a more recent discovery for me but you might have noticed from an early Top Ten Tuesday post in the short time I have been following Nikki @ Saturday Nite Reader
Goodreads is a site I’m sure you’re all familiar with but I just had to include it because it’s basically Facebook but with books! I love it!
Musings by Shayne whilst also providing reliable book reviews also brightens my 3 o’clock work slump with her most recent hilarious misadventures – everything from tinder to jogging.
Amazon is another obvious one and even though I know they aren’t really doing good things for independent bookstores I can’t fault their service or prices.
Evelina @ Avalinah’s Books is the creator of the extremely awesome State of the ARC meme that I am so enjoying being part of including the accompanying group ARCs Anonymous which is a great support group for a very real addiction. Her New Bloggers 101 posts are also so useful!
The Lynch of Locke Lamora is the Tumblr blog of Scott Lynch the author of The Gentleman Bastard Sequence one of my absolute favourite fantasy series and it is every bit as funny as the books I love so much.
Lili @ Lili’s Blissful Pages is another great blog and Lili, penchant for reading challenges she seems to be, writes great reviews as well as posts about those challenges that just make me wish I was more organised with my reading!
Again, if your blog isn’t on this list I’m sorry, I wish I could have included the whole list of blogs I follow! Do you follow or use any of these sites? If not, you should! Don’t forget to post your Top Ten Tuesday links in the comments!
Until next time!
